Lucy K. Couser

Mrs. Lucy K. Couser, age 72, died Monday April 7, 2014. Funeral will be Sunday, April 13, at 2pm Eastern Star Baptist Church.  Walk-in visitation will be Saturday 2-6 pm at Baker Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery in Tarboro.

Mrs. Couser is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Nakethia Speight of Greenville, NC and Mrs. Natasha of Wilson, NC. Thirteen grand-children and a host of neices, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Rosa Lee Powell, age 81, died Sunday April 6, 2014.  Funeral service will be held Sunday, April 13, 2 pm at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with family hour from 1-2 pm.  Burial will follow in Dancy Cemetery Princeville.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Rosa P. Harris, two sons, Mr. Jesse Lee Dickens and Joe Dickens all of Tarboro. She is also survived by 5 grand-children, 13 great-grandchildren, 5 great, great, grandchildren. Several neices, nephews other relatives and friends.

Florence Revis Johnson

Mrs. Florence Revis Johnson, 73, of Tarboro died Wednesday September 11 at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital.
 
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, September 15 at 2pm at New Hope Baptist Church in the Dunbar Community.  Burial will follow in the Dancy Cementary in Princeville.
 
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband of 56 years, Milton Johnson, Sr.  This union was blessed with three loving sons, Milton Johnson, Jr., Melvin Ray Johnson, and Terrance Johnson. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her sisters, Annette Jackson, Marie Lyons, Barbara Lewis, Annie Milbourne, Ernestine Johnson, Elna Caine, Nina Buckley, Audrey Burns, and Gwendolyn Pettaway.  Her brother, Carl Revis also survives.
 
Mrs. Johnson was blessed with a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
 
Mrs. Johnson was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She received much joy in cooking for her friends and family,  Her excellent chocolate cake, sweet potato and apple jacks will be long remembered by those who enjoyed them.
 
A viewing will be held on Saturday, September 14 from 4pm to 6pm at the Baker Funeral Home in Tarboro.
 
The care of Mrs. Johnson's earthly remains have been entrusted to the Baker Funeral Home.
 
The staff and management of Baker Funeral Home extends it's deepest sympathy to the Johnson Family.
